Immediately after the baptism we headed to Greta’s birthday party. Since we don’t have enough room in our current place to host both of our families we opted to have her party at the local park. We reserved the picnic shelter and brought food and drinks with us. It was great because the kids could play on the playground or run in the grass and we could stay in the shade. It was quite hot out, but being in the shade it was not bad at all. There was a nice breeze, which was great for keeping us cool, but impossible for the candles on the cake. Next year hopefully Greta will get to actually blow out some candles.
Yesterday we had Eloise’s baptism at our church. We were the only ones having a baptism yesterday. Everyone was there early, so we got to take all the pictures we needed to before the baptism. Then after the baptism we were ready to head to Greta’s birthday party! Eloise was baptized in the same gown that Greta, myself, my dad, my grandfather, and possible my great-grandfather were all baptized in.
We are thankful that all of our immediate family was able to be there, along with a few friends. Thanks so much to everyone for traveling to be with us on our special day.
As most of you know, we let Greta dress herself most of the time. As long as it is weather appropriate we don’t usually fight, because we would rather fight about other things with her than clothing. Here are some of her recent outfits.
Yes, this is two dresses:
and yes, I let her leave the house with stickers all over her legs.
