snow?!?

It seems like at least once a week we have been getting some amount of snow. I can’t keep track of how much or when we get snow anymore. I think there is more this upcoming week. Here are a few pictures from a couple of different snows. Greta helping daddy shovel the snow.

Annapolis

This past weekend we headed down to Annapolis for our godson’s baptism. Liam’s parents are a good friend from college and her husband. They have another child, Adam, who is about the same age as Greta. All the kids had a great time together and both of my children were fascinated by little Liam. We had a great time visiting with our friends and getting to watch the kids interact.

We found another 2 year old who likes books almost as much as Greta.

Here are some from the actual baptism. Well, they are actually from after the baptism since we couldn’t really stand up and participate in the baptism and also take pictures.

Kristen’s mom made some delicious cookies that we all devoured over the weekend. Please send us your recipe!

Before we left we thought we should try and get a picture of all the kids together. Here are some of the cute ones, as you can see it turned out to be impossible to get a shot with everyone smiling, but they sure are cute. Take a good look at the boys, they are going to be marrying our girls one day 🙂

Matt’s birthday

Last week we celebrated Matt’s birthday. Greta has become especially interested in birthdays lately and she decided exactly what he needed: 1. a pink pie 2. a green cake 3. 3 books for presents 4. help blowing out the candles 5. balloons (she decided this a little late and we didn’t actually get them).

walking

For those who aren’t on facebook, you might not have heard, but we have another walker in the family. On Saturday evening Eloise took 3 steps, Sunday morning 5-6 steps several times (one of which is below), Sunday evening 12 steps, Wednesday 18-20 steps several times. She still mostly prefers crawling, but enjoying practicing walking to us. Greta LOVES cheering her on and saying “walk to me, Ellie.” Oh I need to get that on video as well, hopefully soon.

sledding

Last Friday when we got snow again, Matt decided we needed a sled. Turns out it is rather hard to come by sleds after a snowfall. We went to SIX stores before we found one (and it wasn’t even the one we were originally looking for). Greta became just as set on getting a sled as Matt. We have a little slope in our front yard, so we put the girls down it. Greta went when I was inside with Eloise and immediately said that the sled was for Eloise, so um yeah she wasn’t a huge fan. Later Ellie and I went out and gave it a whirl. Eloise LOVED the sled. Here are videos of both girls sledding. Greta’s laughing is her ‘I’m scared, but don’t want to cry, so I’ll laugh’ . And surely we are crazy for putting our 10-month old on a sled, but we were right there to catch her. Trust this is a very small hill.
